Job Summary As a Hardware Design Engineer, you will be an involved in designing multilayer PCBs from Schematic creation to manufacturing files generation of embedded hardware systems for different electronic projects.

Specific Responsibilities :
  • Good Knowledge in Electronics
  • Schematic creation/ modification
  • Interaction with PCB Layout engineer
  • Active participation needed in testing.
  • Working with cross functional teams like mechanical and firmware
  • Interaction with customers and stake holders.

Qualifications: Bachelor s/Master s degree in Electrical/Electronics & Communication Engineering or similar field

Desired Experience & Skills:
  • Good Knowledge on Analog and Digital Circuits.
  • Basic idea on UART, SPI and I2C Protocols
  • Basic idea on wireless protocols.
  • Must have experience in schematic tools like Allegro/orcad, Graphics (pads layout), Altium Designer PCB Design tool set.
  • Should have an in-depth technical knowledge on PCB Design flow as given below
  • Schematic Creation
  • Schematic Verification using ERC
  • Netlist generation
  • Board Mechanical creation
  • Design Constraints settings
  • Parts placement
  • Routing
  • DRC Verification
  • Gerber & ODB++ Generation
  • Should be able to read and understand the provided Design Inputs and Design requirements with minimal supervision
  • Knowledge on Gerber tool for Design verification is an added advantage.
  • Knowledge on SAP/ ERP is an added advantage.
  • Candidate would be familiar with Microsoft Word, Excel and Power Point.
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Must be a good team player and able to adapt to the work environment
  • Must have good communication and interpersonal skills with good working attitude.
  • Proficient in handling controller/processor peripherals like ADC, DAC, I2C, SPI, RS232, UART, CAN, USB
  • Knowledge of real - time operating system (RTOS), networking protocols is desired
  • Understanding hardware schematics and exposure to hardware design
  • Competent in using laboratory equipment such as scopes, digital multi meters, reading of traces data from logic analyzer.
  • Good Understanding of Industrial automation
  • Hands on:
    • Performing all aspects of design and development, implementation and test of firmware for embedded system
    • Analyzing requirements, developing detailed software specifications and design algorithms, analyze CPU resource, coding and testing of firmware to meet specification and ensure firmware quality
    • Develop and maintain engineering documents to meet quality system requirements
  • Teamwork, and problem-solving skills are necessary
  • Ability to interact and communicate successfully with business partners and technology teams
  • Self-starter who can grasp difficult concepts quickly
  • Coordinate, transfer information from customer to offshore team/ function as primary focal point on engineering and technical issue.
