Job Summary

The new product development manager for Orenda will be responsible for working closely with the Marketing Director in developing the new product strategy and products for assigned categories/growth platforms and leading the cross-functional team from conception through commercialization. Consistent with an agreed set of strategies, this individual will use the stage gate process to identify and prioritize winning concepts, and lead marketing team to meet targets. Reports to Marketing Director. Primary Duties and Responsibilities: Defines new product development strategies for assigned categories/platforms and gains alignment across Senior Management. Identifies and evaluates growth opportunities to include internal and/or external development ideas and potential business acquisitions. Leads ideation/creative process to develop pipeline of new product ideas. Shapes and optimizes ideas using marketing research to meet and exceed consumer expectations. Supervises any outside resources who will assist with ideation, business case, implementation and other duties as needed. Builds the feasibility business case for new products, including consumer, competitive environment, customer prospect, company feasibility and fit. Prioritizes concepts based on sound business rationale and thorough financial analysis. Evaluates options and different alternatives to best concepts to ensure we maximize business results.
