• Proficiency in at least one tool from the following categories:
  • Defect Tracking utilizing JIRA
  • Automated Testing: Junit, TestNG, Cucumber, Selenium, Java, LoadRunner, SoapUI
  • Database Tools: Cassandra, Oracle, MongoDB, PostgreSQL, SQL Developer or other query tools
  • Other Tools: Jenkins, GIT, Putty, WinScp

• 6+ years of direct experience in software quality assurance & software testing.
• Experience in architecting automation framework and implementing standard methodologies.
• Strong programming, debugging/troubleshooting and problem-solvingskills.
• Knowledge of test automation frameworks and have participated in / rolled out test automation initiatives.
• Hands-on current experience authoring, building and adopting large scale, multi-functional automation frameworks with well-balanced coverage across UI, back-end integration, database.
• Deep understanding of different automation approaches (keyword driven, data driven, BDD, TDD, Gherkin spec and their application is a plus) and technology stacks (Java).
• Demonstrable understanding of web services (REST), JSON and XML data formats.
• Strong SQL Scriptingskills.
• Ability to work in a sprint team environment or independently as needed
• Very good understanding of SDLC process. Prefer: Agile/ Scrum/ XP
• Excellent problem solving and communicationskills
• Thorough knowledge of software testing practices, including test planning, test automation - API and UI, and defect management

Responsibilities

• You will lead complex testing efforts, estimating time and resources, and define test environment configuration.
• You will define test cases outside of user-defined requirements and perform testing of applications, focusing on functional and end-to-end testing, validating that system response and output accurately reflect business requirements as outlined in requirements document, and recommend changes to existing testing methodologies.
• You will partner with business users and development team to plan and execute user acceptance testing.
• You will identify and resolve test environment issues.
• You will perform defect analysis, identifying trends and recommending process improvements.
• You will communicate and align the automation strategy with the rest of the team members, make recommendations to improve reliability, performance, standard methodologies, and processes.
• You will enhance the established automation framework, design and develop automated test scripts / scenarios, and detailed test plans based on product requirements.
• You will collaborate with Product Owners, Developers and other QA team members as required on acceptance criteria that need to be tested.
• You will participate in all aspects of testing, including functional, regression, load and system testing.
• You will develop and execute thorough test plans in a timely and efficient manner.
• You will follow and improve the quality of the testing processes.
• Be familiar with current technologies and incorporate them into the testing process as needed.
