Job Summary

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Ensure a complete understanding of the bid requirements, scope of work, and responsibilities. Prepare a pre-bid to clarify or make additions or deletions to quotations or proposals.
  • Extensive market research prior to starting up a proposal and continue gathering information throughout the life cycle of tendering and post-tendering negotiations;
  • Identify new tenders and opportunities, prepare project plans, and discuss the same with management before making proposals and bidding or quoting on tenders for the coal business.
  • Responsible for budgeting, organisation, implementation, and delivery of the project.
  • Develop business and marketing plans in coordination with the Managing Director to achieve revenue goals.
  • Identifying the actual demand for coal (quality and quantity)
  • Managing the delivery of coal to industries, Following up industries for payment
  • Knowledge of the coal industry and a large customer base are required.
  • Developing new accounts by identifying new customers
  • Preparing sales contracts, critically reviewing purchase contracts as prepared by customers, and completing the management of sales transactions
  • Ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction through timely redressal of customer grievances through site inspection, communicating issues to suppliers, and resolving complaints to maintain cordial relationships with customers.
  • Coordination for logistics, quality control, contracts, and documentation with relation to international and domestic trade.
  • Monitor with a view to developing marketing strategy, identifying market trends among key drivers, and providing market intelligence.
  • Develop strategies to increase value and satisfaction for the customers.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

  • Knowledge of the technical and commercial aspects of coal is a must.
  • Knowledge of the coal industry and a large customer base are required.
  • Planning and conducting competitive negotiations.
  • Experience in business development within coal and bulk commodities.
  • sets high standards for self and others, builds trust, and takes accountability.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

EDUCATION:

Bachelor s Degree in Engineering, Master s Degree in Business Administration or Management, or equivalent education.

EXPERIENCE:

With 10 to 15 years experience, preferably in coal tendering, coal marketing, and business development activities from one of the leading coal/bulk trade companies in India.
