Senior Software Engineering

At Sabre Hospitality we're excited as we're scaling new heights with our partnerships with some of the top hotel chains in the world while we build the industry's first and only integrated Full-Service Property Management Platform (FS-PMS) on Cloud with a micro-services architecture. Our PMS products are being used by thousands of properties world-wide, already. The FS-PMS Platform is being built as a ground-up distributed system (high scale, highly available, durability of data and so on) both from technology and business perspective.

Sabre Hospitality is looking for a talented Principal Engineer to join the team to accelerate this journey.

What will you achieve?

• • Architect, design and develop major features and components of our FS-PMS platform. Own the design and implementation phases.
  • Working with a team of talented leads and engineers to develop and enhance one of the largest Hospitality Platform in the industry.
  • Ensure our development and practices adhere to the industry best standards in terms of architecture, design quality, code quality, automation, security and all other aspects of engineering.
  • By driving a quality-first approach, ensure the stability of the production and other customer facing environments for near 100% availability.
  • Mentor teams on technical areas such as best coding practices, architecture/design reviews, code reviews, security practices, automation and so on.

Job Requirements

Skills

• • Strong hands-on experience of Java stack in Cloud-based enterprise applications. Experience with multiple technology stacks (NodeJS, LAMP etc) is a plus.
  • Strong experience of designing mid-to-large enterprise applications: SOLID, OOD, design patterns, RESTful/Web services, distributed architecture, messaging/event-driven, API design and more
  • Comfortable with all aspects of the full-stack: Web/Mobile, mid-tier, DB, APIs, micro-services, infrastructure etc
  • Strong knowledge of relational database design, tuning, SQL, database performance. Knowledge of any NoSQL database would be a big plus.
  • Comfortable with either AWS or GCP Cloud environment with Linux OS. Knowledge of native services in these environments is a big plus.
  • Youve been an evangelist for engineering best practices, guidelines, avoiding code smells, near 100% tangible unit test coverage, maximum code-reuse and so on.
  • Good knowledge of Scrum practices.

Background

• • 5+ years of hands-on software engineering experience in a product development company. Start-up experience is a big plus.
  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering or Information Science
  • Youve been part of building at least one large scale enterprise system and possess end-to-end knowledge.
