Job Summary

Position: System Engineer - Mechanical Design

How You ll Contribute:

  • Lead the design and development of electrical panels (cubicles for circuit technology installations).
  • Collaborate with circuit engineering teams to plan and execute work packages seamlessly.
  • Manage deadlines, costs, and requirements for the project, ensuring adherence even when external partners are involved.
  • Implement configuration management processes and documentations within set timelines.
  • Coordinate across functions such as engineering, supply chain, manufacturing, and business control to streamline project execution.
  • Drive product development, system integration, and performance validation as per Quality, Cost, and Delivery (QCD) standards.
  • Prepare standardized reports on product and project execution for management reviews.
  • Work effectively in a Matrix Organization structure.
  • Travel domestically or internationally as per project demands.
  • Oversee product safety and compliance for all project-related electrical panels and cubicles.

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor s or Master s degree in Mechanical, Production, or Industrial Engineering.
  • Experience: 8+ years in mechanical design or a related field.
  • Technical Expertise:
    • Proficiency in PTC CREO 4.0 modules (e.g., sheet metal, assembly, drafting, surfacing).
    • Experience with PDM Windchill or other PLM software.
    • Skilled in using SAP for BOM creation, drawing release, technical specifications, and change management.
    • Familiarity with DOORS tool for requirement management.
    • Expertise in designing welded steel structures compliant with EN 15085 standards.
    • Ability to design welded, riveted, and bolted assemblies, as well as sheet metal, FRP, castings, and extrusions.
    • Knowledge of mechanical and electrical subsystem integration.
    • Experience with corrosion protection methods such as painting, powder coating, anodizing, and zinc plating.
  • Soft Skills:
    • Strong communication skills to interact with suppliers, customers, and internal teams.
    • Ability to create and present designs for internal and external reviews.
    • Problem-solving mindset with attention to detail.
    • Experience working in manufacturing environments.

Qualification :
You must have bachelors degree and / or Masters in Mechanical, Production or Industrial Engineering with 8+ years of similar work experience.
