MIS scope at Porter

- Business process monitoring and optimization

- Weak point analysis

- Root cause analysis

Responsibilities

This role requires a person to align with the central business team and help design, develop, and improve new or existing MIS systems.

• Work with management to prioritize business and information needs

• Design, development, and management of stakeholder reports

• Define business-as-usual (BAU) requirements and needs

• Prepare reports to effectively communicate patterns, trends, and simple predictions

• Support with ad hoc analyses as needed

• Provide strong reporting and analytical information support to the management team

• Acquire data from primary or secondary data sources and maintain databases /data systems

• Develop documentation to allow for smooth operations and easy system maintenance

• Perform routine data quality checks

• Understand user problems and provide appropriate technical solutions

Required Skills

• Data analytics and Data modeling

• SQL

• Programming skills (Python, R etc.) - Nice to have

• Knowledge of information systems

• Advanced Excel / G-sheet and database management

• Exposure to data analysis and business automation tools

• Strong interpersonal relationship and communication (both verbal and written)

• Technical writing abilities

Qualification Prerequisites

- Analytics experience of minimum 1+ years

- Strong SQL (PostgreSQL would be bonus) background

- Experience with reporting automation (Excel dashboards would be bonus)

- Knowledgeable in at least one of Python / R (data analysis toolkit)

- Some experience with analyzing and visualizing multi-dimensional data

- Communicates well, a team-player, and shows an appetite for learning

- Engineering Graduate preferred
