The Role: Responsibilities include (but are not limited to): Contribute to DevOps architecture and influence DevOps roadmap: application and infrastructure planning, development, testing, and deployment. Collaborate to spread the DevOps best practices across the entire company. Empower and support solution teams in getting to production and running stable services. Contribute to the creation and application of guidelines for consistent and consolidated DevOps and CI/CD approaches. Drive adoption of and adherence to global operations and infrastructure standards in the local development teams. Mentoring the peers to develop their technical skills. Analysis of complex system behaviour, performance and application issues within distributed systems Participate in the full life cycle of the DevOps and Cloud Infrastructure plan, from early-stage rapid prototyping through to full market release and continuous improvement after the initial launch. The Candidate Key Requirements and Qualifications: Excellent oral and written English communication skills to document, teach, and coach on DevOps processes. 5-10 years of experience. Strong collaboration, leadership, and influencing skills to make sure DevOps practices are followed. A strong advocate of DevOps best practices. Strong experience with Linux/UNIX systems administration, Azure and/or Amazon Web Services (AWS). Experience with both AWZ and Azure a big bonus. Large Experience and comfort with working hands-on with a range of scripting, infrastructure, services, and tools including: Strong skills in scripting languages such as Python. Infrastructure as Code (Terraform). Kubernetes and container orchestration. Docker Web servers (Nginx,Apache), Application Servers(Tomcat,Node.js,..), document stores, and relational databases (Postgres). API Gateways (Ambassador) and Services Mesh (Istio/linkerd) IP networking, including familiarity with the functionality, operating, and failure modes of networks. Site Rebility Engineering patterns and visibilty/performance/availability monitoring (Datadog, Instana,Nagios...)
