Senior Embedded Compiler Developer
Job Description
We are looking to hire a Senior Compiler Engineer for an exciting and fun role developing compilers for Embedded CPUs and Domain Specific Accelerators. We craft outstanding compilers that realize the potential of Networking and Tegra hardware for growing range of computational workloads, ranging from network processing, computer vision, deep learning, scientific computation, and self-driving cars to video games and virtual reality. Our compiler organization makes its mark on every GPU, SoC and Networking product that we build. Would you like to be part of this best-in-class organization and lead the charge?
We need you design, develop and optimize compiler SW for Embedded CPUs and Accelerators. These compilers will be key part of SW stack for Networking, Jetson and Drive Automotive platforms. The compilers will support C/C++ as well as Domain Specific Languages and will be deployed in demanding high performance systems such as large scale data centers, low power embedded platforms and safety critical self-driving automotive environments. Future generations of data centers and supercomputers will rely on these compilers to move enormous amounts of data across the network, accelerate computer vision workloads that power the AI algorithms in smart cities, robotics and self-driving cars. In this role you will solve critical problems working alongside an exceptional engineering team with vision in Compiler technology and systems software, doing what you enjoy. What you will be doing:
Work with a geographically distributed partner organization to design and develop compiler SW.
Innovate key compiler optimization techniques that provide strong application performance and meet power requirements of a high performance embedded system.
Develop efficient compiler SW that is optimized for compile time and code size.
Undertake end-to-end ownership of key compiler features and optimizations working with compiler verification team, architecture and internal compiler users.
Establishing strong customer/partner relationships and trust through excellent execution and high quality software delivery.
What we need to see:
BS or MS degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field or equivalent work experience.
4+ years of production software development in Compiler or related SW.
Experience in development of Language Front-Ends or Compiler optimization and code generation modules.
Strong hands-on C++ programming skills with experience using industry standard C++ compilers and development frameworks such as LLVM.
Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
Ways to stand out from the crowd:
Prior experience with Embedded Processors such as RISC-V, ARM or DSPs.
Prior experience in computer vision algorithms or related optimizations.
Experience in developing SW for Data Center or Embedded, Robotics, Safety-Critical environments
Customer support for production compiler software.
