Role Overview:

Swan Solutions is looking for an experienced Operations Lead / Program Manager with a strong background in VMware and cloud infrastructure to join our growing team. You will lead cross-functional teams, collaborate with clients, and oversee the development and execution of strategies that ensure the stability, security, and high performance of VMware and cloud infrastructures.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead cross-functional teams, collaborating with customers to deliver timely solutions and ensure customer satisfaction.
• Develop, maintain, and share comprehensive documentation, including troubleshooting guides and knowledge base articles.
• Implement proactive measures to optimize the stability and performance of VMware Cloud Foundations (VCF).
• Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) for critical incidents, providing preventive solutions.
• Manage and optimize VMware infrastructure, including ESXi, vCenter, vSphere, and NSX technologies.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to VMware infrastructure (virtual machines, ESXi hosts, vCenter servers).
• Monitor VMware environment performance and ensure efficient resource utilization.
• Implement security best practices to safeguard virtualized environments.
• Create and execute backup and disaster recovery plans to ensure data integrity.
• Provide technical support and guidance to clients, resolving VMware-related issues.
• Plan and assess future capacity needs, recommending hardware and software upgrades.
• Work closely with IT teams and vendors to integrate VMware solutions into the broader IT infrastructure.
• Train clients on VMware best practices, helping them enhance their proficiency.
• Mentor junior engineers in troubleshooting techniques and technical practices.
• Contribute to product improvements through close collaboration with development teams.
• Lead and mentor cloud operations teams, fostering collaboration and knowledge sharing.
• Develop cost optimization strategies and manage security measures for cloud operations.
• Oversee cloud architecture design, planning, and execution.
• Manage disaster recovery and business continuity for cloud environments.
• Analyze and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) for cloud operations.
• Serve as a liaison between technical teams, management, and stakeholders to ensure alignment with business goals.

Qualifications:

Education:

• IT Graduate or equivalent degree

Experience:

• Total: 15+ years in IT
• Relevant: Minimum 5 years of experience in cloud infrastructure management
• Extensive experience (8+ years) managing complex cloud infrastructures and leading cross-functional teams to optimize operations
• Proven expertise in VMware technologies such as ESXi, vCenter, vSphere, and NSX

Certifications:

• ITIL certification (Required)
• PMP (Project Management Professional) certification (Preferred)
