THE ROLE

Development team will be responsible of contributing to the timely development, unit test, build, integration, distribution, documentation or administration of new software, maintenance of existing software or the process of creating software releases. Able to handle day-to-day challenges and escalating where required, whilst also displaying similar awareness of industry and market trends/behaviours.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Provide overall development leadership and supportproduct development teams in the delivery of high-quality products withincommitted timeframes
  • Overallresponsibility of planning, execution and delivery of developments/enhancementsas per the committed releases, dates and with expected quality levels
  • Work with ProductDirectors/Product Managers/Development Teams to define code drops andco-ordinate the alignment of code drop dependencies
  • Co-ordinate throughthe various teams and stakeholders for all delivery activities and act as theescalation point for all development issues specific to enhancements
  • Ensure Scopechanges are captured and impacts identified and managed
  • Utilize and updateinternal systems on delivery management in a timely manner, thus ensure timelystatus reporting
  • Ensure 100%compliance to Quality and Release Processes
  • Participate, asrequired, in steering committee meetings, senior executive meetings and othersuch events
  • Demand/Supplymanagement
  • Ability to manageMaintenance support effectively, allocate and deliver fixes within agreed SLAs& dates
  • Ensure allocationof defect fixes as per priority
  • Coordinate ondifferent activities (Development, Testing, Regression & Integration),ensuring the fixes are delivered on time and within SLA
  • Provide necessaryand periodic updates / fix dates to the Support Management Team
  • Ability to carryout Resource and Work Allocation
  • Operationalmanagement of development resources
  • Responsible for theoverall planning of the resources based on project demands
  • Manage allocationof resources to various tasks
  • Effectiveutilization of resources and control overrun and support

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
  • 10-13 yearsof experiencein Technology Development .
  • Graduate in Computer science or equivalent (BE or Btech).
  • Project Management, Change Management, ReleaseManagement, Configuration Management, Software Development Life CycleMethodologies, Understanding of Quality Assurance and Testing, StakeholderManagement.
  • Estimating, ScopeManagement, Budget Management, Time Management, Risk Management, ChangeManagement, Issue/Conflict Resolution, Communication,Management, Quality Management,Testing Plans, Training Plans, Team Management.
  • Strong history andtrack record of completing quality projects on time, as well as a proven trackrecord in coaching and mentoring others to success.
  • Projectplanning andprogress monitoring including budget control and milestone control; issue andrisk management.
  • Ability tocommunicate and interact with internal stakeholders and clients and provideprecise and detailed reports and information.
