Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

I. Responsible to drive analytical support during product development from concept to final launch (raw material evaluation, method development, method verification, method transfer, pharmacopoeia evaluation, prototype development support, stability study, responding customer based and regulatory queries, troubleshooting at plant, etc.) to all (Pharmaceutical, Nutraceutical, Ayurveda and Sports Nutrition) formulations of the group.

II. Managing the laboratory resources, identifying the bottlenecks in efficient functioning of the laboratory and ensuring effective permanent solutions for it.

III. Track, analyze, and control costs, schedule, and quality; and ensure customer satisfaction.

IV. Collaborate with functional areas such as Quality Control, Regulatory, F and D, Purchase, etc. to ensure successful execution of activities to meet project timelines.

V. Closure of analytical documents for submissions; i.e. Specification, STP, Stability Summary Sheets, etc. and achieving, sustaining and further improving documentation practices; to aid effective functioning of laboratory.

VI. Monitoring of the work log of the subordinates and team members, preparation and presentation of the group performance to the senior management.

VII. Setting key result areas for subordinates and conducting semi and annual performance appraisals.

VIII. To raise, present and getting approved the capex and revenue budgets and manpower recruitment.

IX. Evaluation of suppliers of outsourced active drug substances, HPLC columns, instrument accessories.

X. Excellent customer service orientation, maturity of judgment under pressure, ability to diagnose level of customer need, and if necessary, to escalate problems without any delay to appropriate levels for prompt resolution.

Desired Candidate Profile

- 20+ years of experience in ARD of Pharma and Nutra field. Exposure of FDA plant will be an added advantage.

- Flair for process development leading to pilot and commercial plants.

- Project management & data interpretation skills.

- Ability to make & deliver process training sessions.

- Skilled in troubleshooting, process optimization and scale-up.

- Proficient with use of the Internet, MS outlook, MS office - including word, excel and power point.
