Roles and Responsibilities

• As a Business Analyst, should be able to work closely with end users, Architects and Developers in understanding the requirements, creating user stories, creating wireframes/prototypes for large-scale enterprise products used by medical professionals to interpret and report clinical genomics data.
• Individual contributions will enable clinical laboratories and physicians to deliver patient-specific diagnoses and treatments based on an individuals DNA.
• Understand and follow SDLC processes defined at organization level to meet quality goals set at product level
• Interact closely with end users for gathering the requirements.
• Create user stories for the requirements and Design the prototypes/wireframes.
• Work closely with Architects, Developers and Customer stakeholders for ensuring optimal solution implementation.
• Attend product and process trainings required to create quality deliverables at each phase of product life-cycle
• Interpret requirements and specifications to develop user stories, plan, relevant documentation, validation test protocols and test protocol execution.
• Work with product management and development team to understand functional specifications, validate test cases for sequence analysis software including alignment, variant calling, and annotation software.

Minimum 2 years of working experience as Bioinformatician

• Good Understanding of Genomic Data Analysis, Biostatistics, and Data Structures
• Experience on Life sciences domain is a must.
• Demonstrated ability in using Next Generation Sequencing tools including BWA, GATK, SAMtools, and Tophat required.
• Excellent technical documentation writing and organizational skills.
• Knowledge of software engineering practices, automation tools, SQA process and methodologies.
• Soft skills: Communication, fast learner, proactive, minimal supervision, listen first, constructive attitude
• Total years of experience: 3 to 5 years.

Desired Candidate Profile

• Minimum of two (2) years of experience as BA / PO, preferably in the medical device or life sciences industry.

Education

• Masters degree in Bioinformatics from a reputed institution.
