Job Summary

Tech skills

  • Professional level work experience in mathematical optimization.
  • Must be able to convert complex business needs into mathematical optimization problems.
  • Experience with at least one mathematical programming language (e.g. AMPL, GAMS, LINDO, Mosel, OPL, Gurobi) is required
  • Experience in Python, solving for optimization problems
  • Pulp, Pyomo, pyOpt, SQL, C++ is preferred Required technical skills include linear programming and integer programming, MIP, nonlinear programming, Dynamic programming, Geometric programming, Quadratic programming, Bayesian Optimization, Custom heuristic design Preferred experiences in Genetic Algorithm, 2-opt, Simulated annealing, ant colony, reinforcement learning
  • Should be able to leverage open source solvers such as COIN-OR,Ipopt , Bonmin, Couenne ,COINOR (CBC),COIN OR (CLP),NOMAD, Gecode , JaCoP ,GLPK, Lp-solve etc.
  • Experience in Simulations Discrete event simulations, Agent based modelling Knowledge of computational methods and tensor algebra is an advantage
  • Experience in software development and agile is an advantage.
  • Experience in production deployment is an advantage
Work experience
  • 12+ years experience in data analytics with 8+ years working on optimization algorithms
  • Experience in production, logistics and industrial engineering projects
  • Previous work experience in the automobile industry is an advantage
  • Excellent communication skills and experience working in a collaborative environment is required
Education
  • Masters degree in Operations Research, Mathematics, Computer Science, Industrial Engineering or other equivalent disciplines in mathematical optimization.
  • PhD degree preferred
  • APICS or similar certifications preferred
  • Data sciences or optimization certifications preferred
