Job Summary Job Summary
  • The incumbent is responsible to support the Head Data Analytics in building a system to transform raw data into actionable business insights which drive business & organizational performance
  • The role will involve understanding business needs and objectives and developing strategies for effective data analysis and reporting
  • The role will also involve doing hands-on projects including but not limited to statistical modelling, validating the models and documenting them accurately, fulfilling ad-hoc requirements of Business stakeholders, applying different Statistical methodologies e.g. clustering, segmentation, prescriptive analysis, etc. complying with organizational codes of conduct, policies and governance requirements
  • The role will involve leading and developing a team of data analysts, identifying their potential area of developments, Training requirements, Goal setting for appraisals, Performance evaluation and appraisals

  • 1. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

    Business

    • Understand and translate business problems to statistical solutions and use them to address the corresponding business problem
    • Take initiatives and Ideate analytics projects which have scope of incremental revenue / reducing cost

    Customer Service

    • Initiate analytics projects which help in overall customer experience
    • Provide data solutions to departments/teams by implementing analytical models that support the realization of departmental objectives
    • Provide necessary trainings/ troubleshooting for the stakeholders/ process owners
    • Undertaking quick and ad hoc analytics projects to fulfill short term requirements of the stakeholders

    Internal Processes

    • Constantly look for increasing the efficiency of the team and department resulting into reducing TAT of analytics projects, eg. Process enhancement, automation etc.
    • Adhere to the ethics and compliance for data usage
    • leading and developing a team of data analysts, identifying their potential area of developments, Training requirements, Goal setting for appraisals, Performance evaluation and appraisals
    • Liaison with IT/DW/Operations departments to ensure accuracy of the data
    • Statistical Modeling Development of models using appropriate techniques including Machine learning and other statistical modeling techniques
    • Model Testing Testing and monitoring the developed models using different methodologies
    • Model documentation Clear and detailed documentation of the modeling procedures and results using different visualization techniques/tools
    • Automation Constantly look for automation of any recurrent activities or process.

    Learning & Performance

    • Enhance on-job self-learning related to analytics techniques/tools
    • Ensure timely completion of training / learning programs assigned time to time
    • Ensure goal-setting, midyear -review and annual appraisal process happens within specified timelines for data analysts
