Job Summary

Job Synopsis:

Unilog is looking for a senior candidate to work on a large complex data driven application. The right candidate need to have strong database skills with good understanding of database concepts, database internals specifically Oracle-SQL database. Candidate should have the ability to learn new skills and tools quickly and independently. Strong verbal and written communication skills is a must

The main responsibilities of the post are:

  • Determines database structural requirements by analyzing client operations, applications, and programming; reviewing objectives with clients; evaluating current systems;

  • Develops database solutions by designing proposed system; defining database physical structure and functional capabilities, security, back-up, and recovery specifications.
  • Installs database systems by developing flowcharts; applying optimum access techniques; coordinating installation actions; documents actions.
  • Maintains database performance by identifying and resolving production and application development problems; calculating optimum values for parameters; evaluating, integrating, and installing new releases; completing maintenance; answering user questions.
  • Prepares users by conducting training.
  • Provides database support by coding utilities, responding to user questions, and resolving problems.
  • Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations.
  • Accomplishes information systems and organization mission by completing related results as needed.
  • Database Design, Data Maintenance, Database Security, Database Management, Requirements Analysis, Teamwork, Technical Zeal, Project Management, Presenting Technical Information, Training , Operating Systems.

Qualification, Experience & Skill Set Required

Specialist Skills & Requirements

Essential

  • Minimum of 8-10 years of demonstrated skills in the design, development and of large or complicateddatabase platform
  • Experience with Performance Tuning and Optimization (PTO), using native monitoring and troubleshooting tools
  • Expertise with at least a couple of commercial RDBMS tools including Oracle-SQL Expertise on applicationarchitecture, and few domain specific products
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Flexible, team player, get-it-done- personality
  • Ability to multi-task and context-switch effectively between different activities and teams
  • Experience inDatabaseDesign Patterns and Usage methods of OLTP/DSS
  • Expertise in agile database management techniques
  • Expertise in performance analysis of complex Java and database applications.
  • Highly self-motivated that works with minimal supervision, is a fast learner and a team player.
