About the Team The Content Marketing team exists to translate business objectives into credible and memorable consumer-facing content. This team is a creative operations engine that plans, conceives and executes content & creative partnerships. The team s mandate is to scale content to deliver business impact, in the form of incremental services delivered and increased brand consideration. Operating in a hyper-growth environment, the team s collective personal goal is to crunch the next 4 years of career growth into the next 12 months. This role is seeking a creative, passionate content marketing professional to join our Brand & Creative Team. In this role, you will be responsible for organically building an audience for the Urban Company blog, developing and implementing a cross-channel content distribution strategy, leveraging SEO, newsletters, social media and more. The ideal candidate is someone who deeply understands the search ecosystem, is highly analytical and creative with the ability to incorporate data insights and trends into content/editorial strategy. What You ll Do: Develop and execute a data-driven content strategy aligned with the brand s objectives, to deliver SEO-optimized and engaging content for the UC blog and maximize traffic Develop and implement distribution strategies across multiple channels to amplify and extend the reach of the brand s content via SEO, newsletters, social, partnerships, and more Work closely with the editorial team to identify new content themes/opportunities and optimize the content calendar as per search trends and data insights Review and edit content to ensure it aligns with brand voice, tone, and guidelines Liaise with an SEO agency partner to conduct keyword research, optimize on-page elements, and implement technical SEO practices for improved organic visibility Set up Key Performance Indicators to track and optimize content performance Advise the SEO and editorial team on day-to-day optimizations, for new and evergreen content, and implement new best practices amid Google s always-changing algorithm What You ll Need: 3-4 years of relevant experience with a related brand(s) or media publisher Proven ability to grow and engage audiences organically through SEO, social media, and newsletter Proven experience in planning and managing content calendar and creation Experience with all the essential SEO digital publishing and tracking tools, including Google Keyword Planner, SEMRush, Ahrefs or similar, and CMS A deep passion for data and looking for insights in numbers; experience with Google Analytics required A keen interest in the evolution of the search landscape and best practices, and how to implement the latest ethical techniques Impeccable editorial judgement and ability to align content with brand and business objectives Exemplary interpersonal skills, relationship building and teamwork Action-oriented self-starter with the ability to remain detail-oriented in a fast-paced environment
