Describe the Department

Global QSE coordinates the global approach to Quality, Health, Safety and Environment in Vestas throughout the value chain. The function supports both very strategic & operational QSE tasks, leads towards achieving the QSE goals and targets, as well as directs the Global Management System and its certification against ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001.

GDE- Global Development & Excellence is a global function under Global QSE with focus on growing Management systems, Advanced Quality, Six sigma & Continuous Improvement, Digital technology & tool and centralized operations. People are located in India & coordinate global activities collaborating with the regional QSE and all other cross functions across globe. This position is for Six Sigma & Continuous improvement at Chennai office. We are looking for QSE Specialist - Who will work across entire value chain, guiding & promoting continuous improvement global projects

Responsibilities

Coordinate and contribute to maturing awareness and performance towards world class Quality, Safety and Environment, QSE
Promote continuous improvement projects resulting in reduction of product/component failures, defects, COPQ & business process improvement & maturity

Contribute to implementation of the QSE strategy in relevant area by coordinating the deployment of strategic goals and goals into the relevant part of Vestas business units across the world
Coordinate and contribute to the development of Six sigma & problem-solving competency in Vestas

Supervise & Conduct Six sigma YB, GB & BB trainings globally

Coordinate & Support business critical RCA & 8D across value chain

Identify, support business process & maturity improvement across value chain

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical / Electrical with min 14- years of experience

Six SigmaBlack Belt Certified, Exposer to Lean process and Value stream mapping

Experience in defining strategic initiatives, Global Continuous Improvement project, Six Sigma DMAIC/DFSS projects, 8D, RCA & Problem-solving
Experience in Guiding, facilitating Six sigma training globally for multi-cultural & Global teams
Min 3 Years of hands on experience in running complex Black belt projects
6 to 8 years of experience in problem solving in Quality/Product design/Manufacturing/business process

Experience in change management tools & process will be added advantage


Competencies

Solid methodical skill, In-depth knowledge and hands-on execution on Six Sigma projects

Professional stake holder & project management skills
Seasoned collaborator with solid communication skills & Ability to communicate effectively to all levels of the organization, you will interact with several stakeholders across value chain

Mentor/coach, as well as be a technical expert and guide managers & management on root causes, improvement solution & building business case

Good at building network and establishing partnerships

Action oriented, persistent & passion towards accomplishing improvement

Agile & ability to simplify complex problem into simple logical milestone
