Oncology Nurse Job in Vipany

Job Description:

• Oversee the management of cancer patients under the supervision of the treating oncologist and the resident physician.

• Administration of cancer chemotherapy drugs and management of its side effects. Managing multiple sites of administration including IV (Cannula and Port), SC, Oral and Intrathecal.

• Support the resident physician in managing any drug adverse effects and any medical emergencies.

• Conduct detailed assessment of cancer patients at the start of the treatment and initiation of every cycle of chemotherapy.

• Help patients and families in understanding the cancer treatment and support them in accessing various services within the centre.

• Must be able to lift or transfer patients, medical supplies, and equipment.

• Coordinate with doctors and related department leads to plan administrative activities. This will include all activities pertaining to clinical documentation, referrals and discharges

Skills Required:

• Experience in nursing for critical care patients. Experience in administering chemotherapies is desirable.

• Must possess the abilities to work independently, demonstrate effective time management skills, and to prioritise effectively.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to converse fluently in 2-3 languages is a must (Telugu, English, Hindi).

• Plan, organise, and carry out nursing activities while understanding physical, mental and emotional state of the patient.

Attends staff meetings and in-service training sessions for continues education
