You have a Software Engineering mindset to System Administration and a passion to create a bridge between Development and Operations by bringing automated solutions for Operational aspects such as on-call monitoring, availability, latency, performance, efficiency, change management, system monitoring, emergency response and capacity planning. We need someone who quickly gets bored in performing tasks by hand and has skills to write a code to replace the manual work.

You have system-wide view and can improve UCC service operations through building systems that increase site reliability and performance.

Your time will be accounted between operations, developing and improvising systems. Your responsibilities include 24x7 site reliability rotations and escalation workflows.

You will need to work closely with subject matter experts in UCC (Unified Communication and Collaboration), Colleague Experience, L1 Support Teams and also Emerging Technology team within IT to build newer technology services, analyze and improve the colleague experience.

You will be responsible for the entire systems lifecycle, plan, build, run and service improvement.

You need to build self-service tools for colleagues who rely on our services.

You should have a solid foundation and frame of mind for improving and managing a large-scale system to deliver agility and more value.

You should have strong API-first mindset with experience in developing APIs, and experience with API Management platforms. You should have 8+ years of experience working in Cloud platforms with an ability to integrate and develop environments using Python, C#, JavaScript or GoLang. You should also know version control systems, Git, subversion and perforce and have administrative knowledge of some of the DevOps-related capabilities such as Jenkins, Artifactory etc. Conceptual understanding of communication and collaboration services. i.e. Messaging, Realtime, Content and Collaboration Services is also needed.

Your focus would be balanced in building, supporting and development of systems and services. You will engage in creative autonomous engineering while retaining the wisdom gleaned from operations side of running the service. You will be primarily support and automate services in communication and collaboration platforms. (O365 Suite, MS Teams, Genesys Cloud etc.)

You will spend time in learning UCC technologies along with your current technical and professional skills. We want you to be curious, learning both from team members and individually.

Your Objectives and Key Results for the first 90 days will be aligned towards running/supporting UCC Services, and to create systems to accomplish the work that would otherwise be performed, often manually.

Operational efficiency through predictive analytics and automation will be your success criteria in the next 3 months thereafter.
