Responsibilities
Manage a team of Network test engineers responsible for qualifying a release
Closely work with various stakeholders to understand the test requirements and formulate a test strategy to thoroughly test all aspects
Get to 100% Automation coverage with the ability to do full release qualification in a week enabling quicker release of product features and maintenance patches
Identify test improvements based on field issues and quickly get them into full validation cycle
Data driven approach to track release progress, effort scoping and to identify areas of improvements
Hands on engagement reviewing test plans, defining test strategy and triaging of defects with engineers across Development and Testing
Working with vendors to outsource some aspects of Testing and Automation
Requirements
12+ years of experience testing networking products with at least 3+ years of experience in managing and growing an Automation driven test team
Good understanding of Networking concepts and working experience in L2 Switching, L3 Routing, BGP, OSPF, NAT, Firewalls, IPSEC...
Experience doing Automation of TCs and good understanding of Automation frameworks
Rich Experience in driving various aspects of testing - Regression, System, Scale, Performance, Interoperability
Familiarity with well-known hypervisor's like ESXi, KVM, exposure to public cloud infrastructure like AWS, Azure, GCP
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, attention to detail.
Deep understanding of full product life cycle, software development methods (both Agile and Waterfall), and development and build environments
Ability to organize, delegate, and effectively deliver to large and complex programs
Conflict resolution skills including the ability to bridge style differences
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Strong work ethic and commitment to integrity.
Able to demonstrate effective teamwork both within the immediate team and across teams.
Self-driven, self-motivated individual with ability to multi-task
BS/BE in CS or EE, MS strongly preferred
