Job Summary

Responsibilities:

  • Review and understand data requirements for all existing projects of Enterprise Data Stack including data lake, data warehousing, and business analytics layers
  • Gaining an understanding of the Organizational data stack s Current State and then defining the Target State Architecture and Strategy
  • Facilitate the establishment and execution of the roadmap, and vision for information delivery and managementincluding the enterprise data lake, warehouse, BI, advanced analytics, and information asset management in a matrix environment
  • Develop data flow models with graphical representations and abstractions of strategy and motivation, business processes, applications, data flow, and technology
  • Provide technical and architectural oversight for systems and projects that are required to be reliable, massively scalable, highly available, and maintainable.
  • Engage in an end-to-end approach to facilitate insights delivery leveraging all available assets
  • Perform data analysis activities including data profiling, creation of data dictionaries, data transformation rules, and integration requirements.
  • Develop, document, and maintain logical and physical data models for all existing data stack layers
  • Architect and design solutions for data quality, reliability, and data governance
  • Own conceptual data models, align and review logical data models, API definitions, and analytical data products for consistency and completeness
  • Guide and mentor engineering teams to raise collective technical expertise
  • Conduct proof of concept activities with key business users, data engineers, and analysts in support of advanced use cases.
  • Set design patterns for application integration, data governance, and analytics development.

Required Skill Set and Experience:

  • Should have 11- 15 years of experience in the field of Data Engineering.
  • An understanding of the concepts and principles of data modeling and can produce relevant data models employing industry-recognized patterns and standards
  • Demonstrated experience with Data Engineering, Data lake, Data warehouse design, and implementation
  • Design and implementation of strategic data ecosystem oriented capabilities associated with Data Governance such as Master Data Management, Data Quality, Metadata Catalogue, Data Integration & Analytics
  • Working Knowledge of cloud components required to build big data solutions (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
  • Working knowledge of BI systems
  • Proficient in Python, Spark, and SQL scripting for production environments
  • Track record of leading within complex organizations requiring strong influence management skills the ability to work cooperatively at all levels in a matrix environment
  • Demonstrated success in Baseline responsibilities described above
