Responsibilities Strategy & Planning Prepare a long-term plan for content development, categorizing, indexing, and archiving all content and information resources. Develop a comprehensive catalogue for organizing information resources based on business goals and requirements from stakeholders. Operational Management Collect and define requirements, then create and maintain a consistent operational architecture for content. Connect with subject matter experts and proactively manage your own learning to become familiar with our technology offerings. Work with IT team members and other subject matter experts and functional leads to implement timely and effective edits until documentation is ready for publication on time. Create easy-to-understand content that engages users and gives them a helpful yet engaging experience when browsing through our IT Knowledge base articles. Editing and Proofreading contents before publication. Suggest improvements to documentation and processes whenever possible, eventually demonstrating ownership of the technical writing function. Work regularly with our IT Help Desk to curate content which helps employees fix/resolve technical issues they may be facing. Adhere to design template and company style guide while organizing and writing documentation. Assist with development and maintenance of applicable training and educational material. Develop and propose documentation plans and outlines for new procedures, user/training guides and supporting materials; estimating project length and keeping everyone involved on time. Enhance and maintain existing documentation to the deadline. Proactively manage the document lifecycle (development, periodic review and approval, version control, publishing of approved policies and procedures to the company intranet). Perform additional duties as required from time to time.
