Job Summary Job Description
  • Policy admin system management, maintenance of existing system and transition to new system
  • UAT of new product launched
  • Suspense and Control Account analysis

  • Responsible for leading finance team involved in opus transformation project (PAS migration).
  • Participate in new system implementation, starting from creation of business requirement documents, provides input on as-is process documentation, provides input in to-be process design, define test plans, user acceptance testing and post production movement testing.
  • Engage as SPOC of finance for all the requirements with the vendor and ensuring end to end management of PAS.
  • Training various users on new system and be the one stop shop for solutions and problem solving relating to new system
  • Ensure no exceptions are made in terms of setup of various products and migration of data from old system to new.
  • Participate in new product development starting from creation of Financial Scenario Documents (FSD), defining accounting entries, test scenarios for user acceptance testing and testing post movement to production.
  • Responsible for automation/implement Finance related systems and software to create a seamless experience for internal and external customers
  • Leading a team involving User Acceptance Testing and Control account analysis. UAT of all finance interfaces with other systems in the company and sign-off on outcomes.
  • Represent Finance for all Change Requests in IT systems.
  • Business understanding and impact of various activities to finance function. Accounting and reporting to be developed.
  • Compliance with IRDAI regulations and various taxation rules, etc.
  • Enhancement of current functionalities and modules as per user requirement.
  • Analysis of production errors having financial impact, doing Root Cause Analysis (RCA) with support from IT team, contributing to remedial action, testing and working on permanent fix of the errors.
  • May involve solution evaluation for ancillary systems or UI layers across various vendors and scoring of various solutions resulting in selection of most fit solution.
  • Engage with auditors to enable audit of various builds, relevant accounts, explanation of system changes, user access controls, etc.
  • Responsible for closely handling all the control and clearing accounts. Review of various suspense accounts to identify gaps, fix them, find automated solutions and plug expected gaps.
  • Responsible for reviewing, updating and implementing existing internal accounting systems and introducing new systems and controls where appropriate.
  • Set up controls tools / checks to ensure data consistency and integrity for data submitted to Group reporting teams.
  • Understanding of insurance accounting and how to setup the same in system which will ultimately aid in creation of trial balance for book closure and financial reporting.
  • Responsible for operations accounting to ensure team delivers within agreed TAT with focus on customer service and operational controls.
  • Be a team player and maintain cohesive work environment for all including within function and beyond.
