Roles and Responsibilities

1. Oversee internal day to day IT operations, providing overall management of technology.

2. Oversee investment in technology hardware, software and talent to meet the goals and objectives of Gaia. Ensure that all initiatives in the IT profile have clear business goals and success metrics.

3. Design the architurce for complex systems with constantly evolving requirements

4. Provide strategic direction and vision to direct the overall design to ensure current & future business goals can be met.

5. Ensure smooth and secure operations of all technology functions and equipments including company computer systems, internet operations, mobile communications and more.

6. Performs general preventative maintenance tasks on computers, laptops, printers and any other authorized peripheral equipment.

7. Troubleshooting of all types Hardware, Printers, and Software queries.

8. Network printer sharing and local user policy creation.

9. Support and troubleshooting of LAN & WAN connectivity issues and manage Physical network connectivity.

10. Configure antivirus software to fully protect IT environment.

11. Network with LAN/WAN and active directory for continuous company connection.

12. Stay abreast of changes in technology and recommend purchase of technology that will increase business efficiency, save money and facilitate achievement of company goals.

13. Provide beneficial technology solutions for day to day operations, as well as facilitate accomplishment of strategic goals and objectives.

14. Create, implement and enforce IT policies that support the efforts of other departments within the company.

15. Have authority for large scale technology projects and assure their completion on time, according to budget and at expected quality / level.

16. Create and manage the company's technology / budget.

17. Source systems and software including identifying vendor, negotiating and purchasing.

18. Oversee the monitoring and maintenance of IT assets across the company / including oversight of Inventory system, security protocols protection against viruses and internal and external breaches.

19. Plan the life span of technology management staff on maintenance and security of sites where technology is deployed.

20. Establish disaster recovery or contingency plans to ensure business continuity.

Desired Candidate Profile

1. Bachelors Degree in Information Technology (or equivalent) along with Certification in Cisco Certified Network Professional.

2. Deep Knowledge of Cisco Certified Network Professional Routing, Cisco Routers, Networking, Switching, Firewall Configuration, Hardware Installation, Hardware Firewall, Maintenance, Troubleshooting, Configuration, Networking, Testing, DNS, Desktop Engineering.

3. Demonstrated ability to effectively lead, inspire and guide others towards goal accomplishment.

4. Demonstrated ability to develop and sustain effective working relationship and identify problems.

5. Ability to determine accuracy and relevance of information.

6. Excellent verbal and written communication skills to include expression of facts and ideas, interpretation of information and the ability to make clear and convincing presentation.
