Experience 2 to 4 years

Qualifications Bachelors or masters in Computer Science or similar discipline We are looking for a software engineer to work in a global company with products and teams across the globe.

Responsibilities

• Design, coding, testing and deployment of enterprise applications using Java, Python or other languages
• Evaluation of new tools and processes for our web scraping, database and data feed groups
• Database design, coding and maintenance SQL and NoSQL
• Familiarity with agile software development methodology, engineering tools and release processes.

Requirements

• Experience in working with global teams (geographically distributed team working in different time zones) preferred.
• Highly motivated and able to passionately manage varying priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Its preferred to have good knowledge and experience in Agile development, Continuous Integration using TeamCity
• Excellent knowledge of Databases: RDBMS (SQL, MySQL) and NoSQL like Mango, Hadoop et al. Should have worked with systems that are of the order of at least 1 to 2 TB in size.
• Experience with data analytics platforms preferred
• Excellent verbal and written communication.
• Familiarity with web scraping strategies and tools
• Familiar with tools such as JIRA, Confluence, GIT
