This is a Technical Specialist-Electrification role, reporting to the Engineering Manager in Business Area - India Operations Centre, Process Automation (INOPC PA) based in Bangalore, India. You will be primarily responsible to understand engineering scope for projects from RFPs, tender documents and undertake basic electrical engineering for the projects pertaining to Mining, Cement, Metals & Pulp & Paper.

Your responsibilities

• Undertake equipment engineering activities, such as equipment sizing calculations, specifications for electrical items, review supplier offers, review and approve supplier drawings and documents.
• Plant tray layout engineering for electrical scope based on the 2D-3D layout drawings furnished by customer/OEM.
• Collaborate with Supply Chain Management to coordinate requests to subcontractors along with preparation of equipment specification and review of offers.
• Identify the areas of improvement, bring state-of-art technology, optimize and implement them wherever possible.
• Support for bid & proposal activities for electrical scope of supply in process industries.
• Identify potential risks in the bids, quotations and estimates, and in any related contract agreements across customers/channels/suppliers.
• Perform Load flow, short circuit studies, relay co-ordination and transient analysis etc.

Your background

• Minimum B. Tech/ B.E/ Diploma from a reputed University with First Class in Electrical/ Electrical & Electronics engineering.
• 10-12 years of relevant work experience in electric projects pertaining to Mining, Cement, Metals & Pulp & Paper.
• Experience in project engineering with consulting companies or with engineering departments of EPC companies.
• Experience on large electrification projects in mining and material handling industry will be advantage.
• Working knowledge on AutoCAD, ETAP/ MiPOWER/ NEPLAN
• Willingness to travel to customer place for technical meetings / presentation.
