Position Overview

Job Title: Associate _ Transformation Engineer

Location: Pune, India

The area caters to Enterprise Risk Solutions (ERT) Dicvision for the bank. This area is responsible to assess Risk, Manage exposure to risk across various counterparty portfolios, setting up portfolio strategies and overall risk appetite, assign credit ratings to the counterparties, Manage and monitor credit Limits across various dimensions and also provide inputs to create regulatory risk reports.

ERT is in the journey of Transformation and we are targeting three major areas namely - Workforce Transformation, Operational Transformation & Technical Transformation. As part of these transformation initiatives, we are measuring the crucial KPIs covering the 4 major themes :- Org health, Quality, Delivery & Business Value using Tableau Dashboards

Your key responsibilities

• Individual should have sound banking knowledge with around 10 yrs of previous banking experience.
• Previous knowledge of working on Interest Rate projects will be preferred.
• Previous knowledge of working on large Regulatory/Management reporting projects will be preferred.
• Any prior experience of senior stakeholder management to the level of Directors would be expected and hence it becomes a key requirement for the role.
• In depth knowledge of Investment banking products would be an added advantage.
• He/she should be technically sound so as to understand the current platform and translate the business requirements as per it.
• Any previous experience in Big data, Hadoop related platforms would be highly useful, but not a necessity.
• Prevalent SDLC knowledge around Agile/Scaled Agile would be expected.
• Demonstrable Analytical and Problem solving experience
• Demonstrable Maturity and persuasiveness to engage in business dialogue and support stakeholders
• Good understanding of data models and capability to query the database.
• Demonstrable communication skills
• Demonstrable Business Analysis skills
• Demonstrable positive attitude and capability to work in fast paced environment.

Job Description:

• Expertise in Python along with common libraries/frameworks.
• Good understanding of Data structure, Algorithm and Object-oriented programming
• Expert with at least one database and SQL
• Basic understanding of front-end technologies, such as JavaScript, HTML5 and CSS3
• Experience with Git
• Expertise in Excel (macros, pivot tables, etc.)
• Strong analytical skills to mine data and creation of decision support metrices.
• Ability to understand and pre-empt the information required for senior leadership forums and and able to produce and present the relevant MIs
• Critical thinking: able to look at numbers, trends, and data and come to new conclusions based on the findings
• Experience in collecting requirements and talking to end users / business. Also demo the working software to the users.
• Very Strong Knowledge on Data Warehousing Concepts (Star Schema & Snowflake Schema
• Expertise in Data Modelling, Data base concepts and SQL queries.
• Proficient understanding of code versioning tools.
• Strong unit test and debugging skills
• Good Understanding of Agile Concepts preferably (SAFe Agile) .
• Experience in other reporting/visualization tools(SAP Business Objects, Tableau) is a addon.
• Expertise in tools like Service Now, Jira, Jama etc
• Good communication and presentation skills
• Experience in developing, maintaining and managing Tableau driven dashboards & analytics and working knowledge of Tableau administration/architecture is a plus.

Required Skills/Experience

• Participates in design sessions and contribute to robust design
• Contributes and adheres to the definition of development and SW standards to implement/reflect DB guidelines (naming conventions, encryption, and security settings)
• Ensures architectural changes (as defined by Architects) are implemented
• Develops source code, including descriptions, for all software Components in accordance with Detailed Software Requirements specification, the functional design and the technical design document or backlog
• Participates and guides others for code reviews
• Integrates software components following the groups integration strategy
• Verifies integrated software components by unit and integrated software testing according to the software test plan. Software test findings must be resolved
• Ensures that all code changes are tracked and recorded through the groups change management process and that development is scheduled and approved
• Provides Release Deployments on non Production Management controlled environments
• Capture Build and Deployment notes, develop Software Product Deployment & Operating Instructions
• Provides Level 3 support for technical infrastructure components (i.e., databases, middleware and user interfaces)
• Contributes to root cause /problem analysis
• Fixes software defects/bugs and responsible for code quality and ensure zero-defect in their code
• Collaborates with Functional Analysts and technical Specialists to complete work, as required
