Editorially supports the technical and creative teams across a range of titles to ensure that our files are error free and printer ready.

• Is responsible for undertaking like-for-like checks vis-a-vis the previous edition in workflows such as when text is flown into a new template/layout for reissues/reformats, or when font has been updated in titles (impact of font updates on line breaks of text, any generation of over matter, etc).
• In case of simple reissues/updates, check and ensure that all elements are present and accurate (folios, running heads, captions, labels, etc). Also, check that elements are on the right layer Text and CMYK layers.
• Is responsible for checking and updating the inside front matter of all reprints, despecs and printer movement titles as per latest DK brand guidelines.
• Checks printer movement plotters.
• Checks and updates cross references on reissues.
• Checks reflow e-pubs for relevant titles.
• Update index and pic credits for Customs/Specials and reissues.
• Other basic proofreading and copy editing tasks as and when necessary.

• Graduate from a recognized institute/university with editorial experience, including proof reading.
• Fluent written and spoken English.
• Working knowledge of InDesign, Excel and Word.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Ability to work to tight deadlines.
• Ability to work as part of a team.
