Job Summary
Qualification : Degree in Engineering or MCA preferred. (> 60% aggregate for all courses & semesters)
Roles & Responsibilities
- Sound Computer Science fundamentals in object-oriented design, data structures and algorithms
- Good understanding of the software development processes including source code control, issue tracking, unit testing, build, deployment and code reviews
- Web application design and development
- Library software systems knowledge is a major plus
Required Skills
- Development of web based apps using J2EE technologies and relational databases
- Prioritize and organize work
- Writing (for documenting artifacts like use cases, class diagrams, requirements and design/architecture documents, release plan and so on)
- Communication & Presentation
- Bug tracking software (e.g. Bugzilla)
- Excellent debugging and problem solving skills supporting production customers
- PERL/Python/PHP technologies.
- SQL queries (PostgreSQL, Mysql, SQLServer)
- Linux/Windows
- Apache Web Server
- JavaScript/CSS
- Git, SVN
Roles & Responsibilities
- Implement, test and deliver new features as well as bug fixes to existing features
- Client focus Regular interaction, troubleshooting, training etc
- Closely work with tech lead and the rest of the team to address all technical aspects of the product
- Provide technical support to handle customer queries/issues, demos, trial setup, data migration, upgrades etc
- Documentation of standard operating procedures
- Travel up to 20% for installation, training, custom development and so on
- Develop high quality code, based on software engineering principles and accepted coding standards.
- Comprehensive unit testing
- Explore online resources to develop and enrich the domain and technical competencies.
- Participate in iterative development cycles based on SCRUM/Agile methodology.
- Creation and maintenance of knowledge assets
