PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVES

SAP Globalization Services enables the customers to expand their business worldwide and create value chains for sustainable growth, thus making every customer best-run business everywhere. Globalization Services owns, secures, and enhances Globalization of SAP solutions across the entire solution portfolio, covering technical prerequisites, translation, global business practices and local requirements.

Being part of the HXM (Human Experience Management), you will be working on the localization of Cloud Native Payroll. You shall be working on some of the latest cloud native technologies and be part of the micro service development architecture.

You will work in a Scrum team with a diverse mix of highly motivated young and mature talents focused on Java and other technologies like Rabbit MQ, HTML5, SAP UI5, ODATA.

EXPECTATIONS AND TASKS

• You take over responsibility for the entire lifecycle of applications and services for the design, testing, implementation, maintenance, operations, and support.
• You work as an expert developer / architect in an agile development team according to Scrum methodology and lead the agile development teamin terms of architectural decisions.
• You develop the technical and development skills of team colleagues, coach and advise young talents, developers, and other experts.
• You drive improvements and innovations in development processes, methodologies, architectures, and technology by collaborating with designers and domain experts.
• You support and advice the product owner and management regarding technical and architectural feasibility, implications, readiness, and compliance.

EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES

• Bachelor s/ Master s degree in one or more of the following fields: information technology, computer science, mathematics, applied sciences, engineering or a related area.
• We are looking for candidates with 15+ years of work experience in the application or platform development area.
• Expert level Java coding skills and expertise in Web Services (REST, OData), JPA, JDBC, with focus on performance, scalability, and extensibility.
• Experience in microservice development architecture.
• Expert knowledge of Spring, Spring-Boot, Maven. Experience in REST, OData and Olingo.
• Experience in Agile/Scrum, BDD, TDD, software refactoring and other engineering best practices is preferred.
• DevOps Mindset: Experience in working with continuous delivery and continuous deployment enabled setup.
